The Mad Scott's mini review

Last night, ex "Savage Garden" frontman Darren Hayes played to a near-capacity audience at the Glasgow Clyde Auditorium on the first leg of his UK tour. The crowd was what I expected it to be - mostly thirtysomething women, a few of which had dragged their menfolk along... and then there were the guys who had dragged *their* menfolk along :)

Anyways, this concert was a rarity for two reasons: 1. I was the only photographer shooting it (access had been arranged for someone else as well, but they didn't show up) and 2. The nice folks at the PR firm had organised a complementary ticket for me.

Since I wasn't on a tight deadline for turning over the shots, I took advantage of the ticket, but venue rules meant that my cameras had to be locked away in the security office. I know all the staff there well enough so had no problem with that, but I naturally removed the memory cards so that, should the worse happen, I wouldn't lose the shots I took.

Lighting conditions were great - I was able to set ISO 400, 1/100 sec and anywhere between f/2.8 and f/4 for the shots. Here's a few of my favourites from the night:
