"I got to see Darren Hayes on Tuesday!!! I went to Channel 10 studios with my mum to where Rove Live is filmed and waited outside for Darren to arrive. There were heaps of Delta and Lee fans there also and some other Darren fans also.
Darren was going to be arriving at about 8:45, and we got there at about
7:50, so we were just standing there chatting to the other fans while we waited for Darren
to arrive.
Later on, a black car pulls into the drive and we were able to see through
the windows and recognise Darren sitting in the front seat! The car kept driving and actually
went into the wrong carpark lol, so they had to turn around and come back again. The car
stopped tho and Darren got out and came over to us to say hi! He said he was sorry he was
late and that we looked "so beautiful", hehe. He said he would come back out afterwards
and sign stuff for us. I was madly trying to take pics but my bloody camera decided it
didn't want to work. I got a few pics but they weren't that great.. was a lil disappointed.
Anyway, Darren wasn't gonna be coming out till after he had his interview,
so mum and I waited in the car coz it was sooo cold outside!
After about half an hour, we went back out and joined the other fans.
Darren
came back out not long after in the car but he didn't stop!! He kept driving down to the end
of the street! Felt a bit jibbed for a second but then the car stopped and Darren hopped out.
Straight away he was like mobbed by fans.. Delta, Lee and Darren fans lol. So I run down to
him and stick out my cd cover for him so sign, and I think he looked me in the eye *melts*
lol. He's much taller than I thought he would be too. As he was signing my cd cover I also
touched his hand . LoL, couldn't help myself. Then I just kept standing next to him, I
didn't want to move. I'd been waiting forever for a moment like this and I didn't want it
to end just yet! I wanted to touch his jacket too.. so I did! It was sooo soft! It was all
velvety. So as he was signing I was just standing next to him, and occasionally giving him
a pat lol . I got moved around to his back and patted him a few times again. Now that I
think of it, I should have just given him this huge hug from behind lol, coz there was no
one else there behind him so I had room, but I didn't think of it at the time..
Next I found mum and got the camera off her to start taking pics as by that
time I had moved around to Darren's other side. Got some really close up piccys at that point.
Darren only spent a couple of minutes with us before he had to go, so we all kind of followed him to his car. This security dude was telling everyone to move back but
I just kept standing there with mum by the passenger window and wishing Darren would turn
around to look out his window coz I was right there! Hehe.
Anyway, it was a good night. Got to finally meet Darren and some other
fanclub members. Am a happy bunny.
